My Unique Approach to Education

My approach to teaching is to communicate the things I learned in industry to the students in order that they can avoid the pitfalls and focus in on the positive tools and techniques that will lead to a successful project and ultimately to a rewarding career in project management.

Biography

Jim Stafford is an Adjunct Professor of Project Management at Amberton University. He graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering and an M.B.A. from The University of Texas at Dallas. He was self-employed in residential real estate, employed as an electronic design engineer, a software engineer, customer support manager, a program manager in the telecom industry, and as a project manager in a large health care insurance company.

Mr. Stafford has been certified as a Project Management Professional (PMP) since 1999. He has been a project manager with several multi-billion dollar corporations.
