My Unique Approach to Education

“:)”

– Dr. Robert Patton

I grew up in a small community in East Tennessee. Moved to Florida in eighth grade and graduated there from high school. Never looked back. Went to Texas and wound up marrying a native Texan. I am a true Aggie and bleed maroon. Love to visit that campus. Love the Big Bend area of Texas. My parents were teachers and it came naturally to want to share knowledge. I’ve taught math, science, history, coached football, basketball, and track and have even been a cheerleader sponsor(!).

I taught a Field Biology Course at Dallas ISD and helped to develop the Dallas ISD Environmental Education Center. I’ve been with Amberton on the adjunct faculty since 1975 before it was Amberton when it was ACU-Dallas. I currently live on 150 acres 90 miles east of Dallas and enjoy gardening, raising trees, collecting plants, etc. I raised three children and I’m surrounded by grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Life has been good to me!
