Student Advisors
Our academic advisors are here to help you with a variety of tasks including finding appropriate courses for your degree, explaining financial options, and assisting with enrollment.
Library and Computer Lab
Amberton University has created an incredibly unique library. Our resources, both print and online, are specifically selected for their relevance to the courses we offer. In addition, our qualified and friendly librarians are available onsite, by email, and by phone to help students with their research.There is also a computer lab available to students, as well as study areas and power stations for charging/running laptops, iPads, or other devices.
Research Assistance
Use the Ask-A-Librarian forum on the discussion board to post questions on research assignments or to get help on using research resources available. Students may also email library@amberton.edu for questions and call 972.279.6511 x 137 to speak with a librarian. The Amberton University Resource Center has an extensive array of online resources accessible through the University’s website and through direct links listed on the portal. Library personnel are available for training students on the use of these tools.
Technical Support
For technical support, students can review the “Technical Tips” section of the discussion board for answers to frequently asked questions. If your question is not addressed, post the question to the Technical Question topic provided and a tech support specialist will answer your question, usually within 24 hours. Technical assistance is also available by emailing e-sysop@amberton.edu. This account is monitored daily by the University’s team of technical specialists and questions are addressed promptly.
University Publications
The University provides various publications designed to inform students, potential students, and interested friends of university information. Amberton University will maintain a current general information catalog that describes the academic programs, regulations, courses, standards, financial expectations, etc. for students, potential students, and the general public.
In addition to the catalog, the University will provide a supplement Schedule of Classes each session that includes academic and financial information relative to the session. The University will also provide Program Handbooks for specialized degree programs that lead to licensure or have specific program requirements. These handbooks are available on the website under Forms and Publications.
Information is also disseminated through email and the University's web site, www.amberton.edu. Additional brochures, supplements, newsletters, etc. will be developed as merited to properly externalize the programs of Amberton University.
The University has concluded that no publications, surveys, opinion polls, etc. may be distributed at the University without prior approval from the Administration.
