Biography

Dr. Levi Armstrong is a full professor in the Counseling Division at Amberton University and is the owner of Neurobehavioral Consultants, PLLC. In practice, he is both a clinical psychologist and clinical neuropsychologist who specializes in the evaluation and treatment of a wide range of medical, neurological, and psychiatric problems for children, adolescents, and adults. Born and raised in rural Northeast Texas, he is passionate about increasing access to mental health services to under-served populations and is an active advocate for legislative provisions in line with this goal.

Dr. Armstrong has a bachelor's of science from Texas A&M University - College Station in community health/biomedical science, a master’s degree in psychology (professional counseling emphasis), and a doctorate in clinical psychology with a specialty emphasis in clinical neuropsychology from the University of the Rockies in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He completed a 1-year, APPIC - approved, pre-doctoral internship in clinical neuropsychology in Dallas and subsequently completed a formal two-year post-doctoral residency in clinical neuropsychology in Tyler/Paris, Texas under the supervision of a board certified clinical neuropsychologist. Additionally, Dr. Levi earned his post-doctoral masters of science degree in clinical psychopharmacology from Fairleigh Dickinson University, which affords him advanced knowledge and clinical training in psychotropic medications.
