Biography

Michael Trulson, who earned his Ph.D. in Psychology from the University of Iowa, is President of Michael Trulson & Co., Inc., a management consulting firm. In addition to his consulting business, Dr. Trulson has been continuously employed as either full-time or part-time professor for more than 38 years at a variety of institutions including Princeton University, The University of Texas at Dallas, Marshall University, and Texas A & M. He has taught Organizational Behavior, Stress Management, Interpersonal Relations, Sex Roles in Business & Society, Motivation, The Psychology of Adjustment, and other courses at Amberton University for more than 23 years. He has published over 300 articles in scientific journals, books, and magazines during his career. In 1984, Dr. Trulson was elected a Fellow of the American Psychological Association in recognition of “Outstanding and unusual contributions to the science and profession of psychology.”

In recent years, Dr. Trulson has become interested in high school education, and currently holds the position of Science Department Chair at The Highlands School in Irving, TX. The Highlands School is a private, Christian, college prep school offering single gender education. Dr. Trulson teaches AP Biology, AP Chemistry, Psychology, and Anatomy & Physiology at this institution. He is recipient of the 2011 Werner Schulz Award and Southwest Region Award of The American Chemical Society for excellence in chemistry education.

Finally, Dr. Trulson is passionate about his lifelong hobby/business of martial arts training and teaching. Holding a 7th degree black belt, he is President of Trulson Martial Arts, Inc., an organization devoted to instilling harmony of mind, body, and spirit in boys and girls of all ages through martial arts training.
