My Unique Approach to Education
I take a real-world approach to education in my courses that combines both research and practical knowledge that is rooted in realistic application so that students not only learn academically, but grow professionally.
Biography
Dr. Rupe has been both an educator and business professional for over 25 years. His unique approach to teaching is rooted in both adult learning principles and practical experience in business and psychology. His doctoral studies and research focused on the performance improvement of organizations and spanned the disciplines of business, psychology, and education. Dr. Rupe’s career focus and areas of expertise include: organizational behavior, human resource management, instructional design & technology, distance learning & adult learning. He has worked with large Fortune 500 companies leading company-wide initiatives helping them to navigate change and effectively train employees, as well as, designing academic programs and courses and consulting in higher education. However, for the last 15 years, the bulk of his time has been spent in academic leadership as both a dean and director, as well as, actively teaching as a lead professor in his field.
