Certification Overview
Amberton University's Agile Project Management (APM) certification is a comprehensive program designed to enable students to develop the skills necessary to deliver projects and innovative products that meet customers’ needs. The APM certification program provides a practical and hands-on approach to Agile Project management, emphasizing the importance of continuous exploration and innovation in Agile project delivery processes. Students learn to apply and manage Agile product delivery methods and frameworks in dynamic project environments, including Scrum, Disciplined Agile, Extreme Programming, and others. Students develop skills in product ideation and conceptualization, user research, product development, and delivery and learn how to manage product backlogs, create effective roadmaps, and manage stakeholder expectations. By completing the APM certification program, students will have the practical skills and knowledge necessary to excel in Agile project management roles. They will be able to manage project and product development cycles, work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, and deliver innovative products to market.
Students Completing an Agile Project Management Certification Will Be Able to:
- Analyze and apply adaptive project management lifecycle tools, techniques, and processes as related to Agile business practices and Agile Project Management.
- Write and/or orally communicate project management documents and information clearly and concisely, particularly as related to Agile Project Management.
- Integrate and apply Agile business practices and Agile Project Management tools and techniques to projects within organizations.
- Understand and examine knowledge of Agile business practices and Agile Project Management theory and its implications for project management practitioners.
- Demonstrate knowledge of ethical issues and apply decision-making skills, particularly as related to Agile business practices and Agile Project Management.
- Conduct relevant research appropriate to Agile business practices and Agile Project Management.

MGT 6505 - Agile Project Management
This course focuses on the values, principles, frameworks, and methods that comprise the agile project management body of knowledge.
MGT 6515 - Agile Frameworks
Focused on management frameworks applied in the performance of Agile projects, this course presents essential skills and activities utilized in managing complex Agile project management frameworks within modern organizations.
MGT 6520 - Agile Methods
Focused on the strategic and tactical methods applied in the management of Agile projects, this course presents essential skills and activities utilized in managing complex Agile projects within modern organizations.
